FuneralCE now offers APFSP CE credits for many of its Funeral CE courses. For just $5 more per course per certificate FuneralCE will issue you an APFSP CE certificate in addition to your Funeral CE certificate.
What are the steps to receiving APFSP credit from FuneralCE?
1. You must first pass the course exam for Funeral CE as required by the APFSP with a 70% or higher.
2. Your payment to FuneralCE for the APFSP certificates must be received.
3. You will need to provide FuneralCE the information necessary for us to fill out your certificate of completion.
Do I have to purchase the courses for Funeral CE credit before I can order an APFSP certificate?
Yes. To be eligible to order APFSP certificates for FuneralCE's courses you must first purchase them for Funeral CE credit.
Is a separate exam required for my APFSP credit?
No. You are only required to take a course exam once for your Funeral CE credit. Once you pass that exam and your payment for APFSP certificates is received, we will issue APFSP credit for the completed course.
How do I purchase my APFSP certificates?
Your APFSP certificate order will be a separate charge from your Funeral CE order. Simply fill out the Additional CE Credit Form and send it with payment to FuneralCE via mail or fax. FuneralCE accepts credit cards, check or money order for payment of your APFSP certificates.
Who reports my APFSP CE credits?
You are responsible for reporting your APFSP hours to The Academy of Funeral Service Practitioners by completing the Activities Report Form that you can download from www.apfsp.com.
What is the APFSP's CE requirement?
Holders of a Certified Funeral Service Practioner (CFSP) designation must report 20 hours of CE each reporting period. This period is annual from your membership anniversary with APFSP. To become an initial member of APFSP you must take 180 hours of CE. To learn more about becoming a member, please visit their website at http://www.apfsp.com.
Can I carry APFSP hours over to the next reporting period?
Yes. A maximum of 40 hours or 4.0 CEU's are allowed to be carried over into the next renewal cycle.
